These Last-Minute Gifts Will Arrive Before Christmas Does
Time's running out to check everyone off your list!
Somehow, when I’m writing this post, Christmas is in a week. Seven days.
When you’re receiving this post (if you’re a subscriber and check your emails regularly), Christmas will be in less than a week. Six days, if it’s December 19th. Fewer days if it’s later in the month.
That’s the most wonderful time of the year for ya. It goes by fast. Which begs the question, have you made your list? Checked it twice? Crossed off every name you’re shopping for?
If not, no worries. I got you covered.
In years past, I’ve been a major Christmas shopping-procrastinator. By this point, I’d still need gift ideas for the men on my list (because they’re usually impossible to buy for). Not this year, friends. This year, I have done so well. I am giving myself a pat on the back.
Literally.
Just did.
I’m not here to brag though. Rather, I’m here to help anyone who’s still scrambling because, trust me, I have been there. Many of us have. You’re certainly not alone because, hey, life happens!
Of course, you don’t have to buy gifts for anyone. That’s not what this season is all about. Not at its core. However, if you do want to gift your loved ones something this year, but just happened to run out of time to shop, there’s still time (and if that time runs out, homemade cookies work, too)!
As time is of the essence, I’ll get right to the last-minute gift ideas! Please note, that these gifts are said to arrive by Christmas at the time of publication. Be sure to pay attention to any disclaimers each website has regarding delivery updates.
And, as always, let me know in the comments below which of these items you loved most, and if there are any additional last-minute gifts the Beyond My Byline community should know about for holiday 2023! And, if you don’t see an item on this list that would match your recipient’s personality or tastes, shoot me an email. I’ll offer some personalized recs based on your specifications.
**Please note, prices are subject to change as sales start!**

Handwarmer Oatmeal Bowl
$36, uncommongoods.com
I love eating oatmeal, cold cereal, soup, ice cream… anything you could eat out of a bowl, in a cup. For whatever reason, doing this feels cozy, especially in the wintertime. This cup-as-a-bowl has a wide handle so your recipient can slip their hand through and warm their palms between bites. It also features a little groove to rest their utensil on.
Personalized 40oz Tumbler
from $24, etsy.com
I don’t know why massive water bottles are a big deal right now, but they are, and this option from Etsy not only holds 40 ounces of liquid but there’s also the option to personalize it for your giftee.
SKIMS Soft Lounge Long Slipdress
from $39, nordstrom.com
Another product that got a lot of attention in 2023 was the SKIMS slipdress. Apparently, it has waist-cinching superpowers and is also very comfortable to lounge in. I thought it only came in black, but it comes in a few colors, so you can choose one that matches their wardrobe best.
Furora Lighting LED Flameless Candles with Remote Set of 8
$31.99, amazon.com
I’ve reached the point in life when gifting decor is cool, especially candles. But, seeing as scents are so personal, and candles are a fire hazard, I thought these chic flameless candles would be such a cute gift, especially given that we’re about the enter the darkest months of the year. If you’re not digging the gold accents, the set comes in a myriad of colors and patterns you can browse through.
Netany 4 Drinking Glasses with Bamboo Lids and Glass Straws
$23.99, amazon.com
I believe the first time I saw these iced coffee glasses it was on an episode of The Kardashians in Khloe’s kitchen. I don’t care if you like the Kardashians or not, but I loved these glasses. And, let’s be honest, one of the reasons we all stop at Starbucks or Dunkin is to experience the cups our drinks come in. We appreciate the containers we sip our beverages from, so why not upgrade their home options? It might just help them spend less money at the drive-thru.
Vuori Sunday Performance Joggers
$98, nordstrom.com
My husband and I love a good sweatpant, and this pair from Vuori checks three very important boxes: 1) They’re comfortable. 2) They’re the kind of sweatpants you feel fine wearing out in public. 3) They have pockets.
Crystal Droplet Necklace
$76, abbottlyon.com
I learned about Abbott Lyon from YouTuber Maryana Dvorska and have been obsessively browsing the website ever since. They have a lot of personalized jewelry on the site (think name necklaces and initial bracelets), but I also love their non-personalized picks, like this crystal droplet necklace that, depending on how long you like to wear it, can pass as a choker or regular-length necklace.
Custom Birth Flower Bookmark
$19.98, etsy.com
I sent out a gift guide for book lovers back in November, but if you need a gift for a bookworm ASAP, you can’t go wrong with a bookmark, especially one designed so specifically for them.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Penguin Hardback Clothbound Classic
$14.19, amazon.com
Okay, okay, so I included another book gift. But come on. What book lover wouldn’t appreciate a clothbound classic? Especially if they’re book collectors. I chose to showcase a Jane Austen title here (who’s surprised?), but there are others to choose from if they aren’t an Austenite.
Volupsa Crushed Candy Cane Candle
$45, nordstrom.com
September through November is pumpkin season. December through, well, the rest of winter if you’re me, is peppermint season. I love a peppermint-scented candle (or body wash, or scrub…) so adding this last-minute gift to the list was a no-brainer. Plus, it would make for a very pretty coffee table centerpiece, don’t you think?
Ann Arbor T-shirt Co. “I Paused My Game to Be Here” T-Shirt
$19.95, amazon.com
This was inspired by my husband. If you have a name on your list that needs crossing off and that person just so happens to be a gamer, they’ll get a kick out of this graphic tee (given they have a sense of humor).
Gourmet Oil Dipping Spice Kit
$42, uncommongoods.com
Shopping for a couple? Maybe your parents or in-laws? I love this oil-dipping spice set. They’ll get a ton of use out of it, and it can enhance their date nights in!
UGG Ribbed Crew Socks
$18, nordstrom.com
In addition to peppermint season, winter is cozy sock season, and few brands do cozy at the level that UGG does. The pink was serving balletcore and Barbie, but there are four other colors to choose from if pink isn’t their color.
